Mahoba: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah on Wednesday asserted that the wave of his party has taken avatar of a ‘tsunami’ in Uttar Pradesh, which would blow away all his opponents in the assembly elections.
Addressing a public meeting here, the BJP chief said, “This is not just a wave but a tsunami of BJP in Uttar Pradesh, which will blow away all our opponents in the ongoing assembly elections. Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have destroyed the state during past 15 years, but this time BJP would ensure that the state gets rid of these corrupt parties.”
He condemned the pre-poll alliance between Samajwadi Party and Congress for demanding ‘report card’ of the central government during the two and a half year in power, saying that the SP government in the state should first provide the report card of their regime.
Amit Shah also slammed Rahul Gandhi, saying, “Congress ruled over the country for 60 years, but did not let the country prosper.”
He promised to give more than 70 lakh jobs to the youngsters across the state if BJP comes to power in the ongoing Assembly elections.
It may be mentioned that Mahoba is scheduled to go for polls in the fourth phase of elections on February 23.
